Understand AI (Artificial Intelligence) in simple way with real life example

 1. What is AI (Artificial Intelligence)?

Let's imagine you have a personal assistant or a robot that can organize your home or serve glass of water from time to time to everyone in the office that could make everyone more productive  and these are products of Artificial intelligence but why use the term artificial intelligence well robot or personal assistance are artificially incorporated with human-like intelligence to perform tasks as we do this type of  intelligence is built using complex algorithms and mathematical functions but AI may not be as obvious as in the previous examples in fact ai is used in smartphones, cars, social media feeds etc.

Real-Life Example: 1. Self Driving Car or Tesla Car, which can understand near by surrounding environment with sensors and put algorithm and maths to drive passenger from one place to another. 2. IBM's Watson, both are example of AI that can understand natural language and provide detailed answers to questions, as demonstrated in its victory on the game show "Jeopardy!"

2. Uses of Artificial Intelligence

Explanation: AI has a wide range of applications across industries. It's used in healthcare for diagnosing diseases, in finance for fraud detection, in e-commerce for personalized recommendations, and in many other areas to automate tasks, improve efficiency, and enhance decision-making.

Real-Life Example: Chatbots, like those used in customer service, use AI to understand and respond to customer inquiries 24/7, improving customer satisfaction.

3. Weak Artificial Intelligence

Explanation: Weak Artificial Intelligence, also known as Narrow AI, refers to AI systems designed for specific tasks. These systems excel in their designated domains but lack general intelligence.

Real-Life Example: Voice assistants like Amazon's Alexa or Apple's Siri are examples of weak AI that can answer questions, set reminders, and control smart devices within a specific scope.

4. Strong Artificial Intelligence

Explanation: Strong Artificial Intelligence, also known as General AI or AGI (Artificial General Intelligence), represents AI systems with human-like intelligence, capable of understanding and learning any intellectual task that a human can.

Real-Life Example: While we haven't achieved strong AI yet, science fiction often portrays it, like the sentient robot "Data" from Star Trek.

5. Difference between AI, Machine Learning (ML), and Deep Learning ?

Explanation: This section clarifies the distinctions between these terms. AI is the overarching field, ML is a subset of AI that focuses on training algorithms to learn from data, and Deep Learning is a subset of ML that deals with neural networks and complex data representations. We will post an in-depth blog for the same, so stay tuned and follow logrova.

Real-Life Example: AI encompasses ML and Deep Learning. For example, facial recognition (AI) may use deep learning algorithms (DL) to identify faces, which are trained on vast datasets (ML).

6. Future of Artificial Intelligence

Explanation: The future of AI is promising and holds immense potential. It includes advancements in autonomous systems, healthcare, robotics, and more, but also raises ethical and societal questions that need to be addressed.

Real-Life Example: Autonomous delivery drones, which could revolutionize last-mile logistics, represent the future of AI in action.
